VILLA VISTA DEL MAR is a comfortably furnished Caribbean vacation villa, fully-staffed with attentive maids and a houseman who are at your service to spoil all members of your party. An easy 5 minute walk brings you to a beautiful crescent shaped beach lined with palm and sea grape trees offering both sun and shade. The cove, protected by a reef, ensures there are no problems with jelly fish, red tide or sharks. Nor is there any fear of an undertow or strong tides. In fact the surf is gentle with soothing bay-like water at one end, perfect for small children; and with gentle rolling waves at the other end, perfect for body surfing and swimming.

Unlike other homes in the area, the villa is situated on an extra large plot of land providing an appreciable level of privacy. We are 3 miles west of historic Puerto Plata, where you will find a large farmer's market, supermarkets, and tourist sights. Puerto Plata International airport is approximately 15 miles away.

Playa Cofresi is a relatively quiet residential community with a beautiful beach, but bordered by several world class tourist attractions. Take a 10 minute walk to Ocean World Dolphin Park, Marina & Casino. You can swim with dolphins or snorkel alongside tropical fish. Enjoy dinner and drinks while overlooking the water. Julio, the full time houseman, keeps the gardens, pool, and villa in pristine condition. He owns a large van to provide airport meeting service and can be hired to run errands during your vacation such as going food shopping. We also have a full time manager available 24/7. If you need anything, the staff is there to help.

Villa Vista Del Mar has been thoroughly enjoyed as a family home since 1982. Long term staff has become a 2nd family. Numerous updates/additions ensure all furnishings are maintained at high standards. This home was built for fun & comfort. Villa Vista Del Mar is a comfortable family oriented home. The living room has a TV with DVD/VCR and a selection of videotapes plus a stereo system with CDs. There is also a cozy card room where guests can play games, cards, and picture puzzles.

All bedrooms are on the second floor and have individual air conditioner units. There are two master bedroom suites with their own bathroom and sitting area with TV and rockers. The three oceanview bedrooms have a balcony or terrace. The large dormitory with two bunk beds and two twin beds is so attractively furnished that even adults enjoy using it. The villa comfortably sleeps 15 and orthopedic mattresses assure a good night's rest. Beds can be moved around to suit guest's needs. Two full size cribs and a folding cot are also available.

The kitchen is completely modern and fully equipped with two refrigerators, microwave, automatic coffee makers, toaster, blender and household equipment. And don't forget... a very attentive maid!

The outdoor terraces, balconies and pool area provide privacy and room for everyone to spread out and have fun. This is a cherished family home designed for comfort, enjoyment and safety . All doors and windows are screened and shuttered to keep insects out, while ceiling fans throughout the villa circulate the cool refreshing ocean breezes. There is also a security gate to separate the pool area form the main livings areas for use when children are in residence.

For those guests that cannot leave their work behind, we have high speed DSL internet. We also have an in-wall safe and onsite security for added peace of mind.

This is a wonderful destination for any size group because there is so much to see and do, and everything is so inexpensive. Babysitters for children cost about $15 for a day! Wonderful meals at local restaurants start as low as $10-15 per entree. The Dominican version of 'Cheers' is just down the street at an oceanfront thatched-roof restaurant called Chris & Madys.

You'll find the Dominicans are well-deserving of their reputation for friendliness and hospitality; they go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their country. It doesn't matter if you don't speak Spanish. Guests have always managed and enjoyed the experience of being exposed to the culture of this beautiful country and its people.
